[edit] History
The band has stated that work on their debut album has recently started. Originally set to be released in the Summer of 2008, Shotgun founders Paul Thomas and Logan Swafford have released statements explaining for its delay. Near the end of the recording sessions, the master tracks to the album were purportedly stolen. After this happened, the band was inspired to write Never Mind the Sex Pistols. They felt the quality of the album was lacking, and decided a much higher quality debut album was needed.
Thomas has revealed that although the record is rooted in punk rock, the band will explore other rock genres including (But not limited to), Ska-Punk, Pop Punk, Acoustic Punk, Emo, and Alternative Rock. Thomas and Swafford have cited such bands as Green Day, Rancid, My Chemcial Romance, Against All Authority, Sum 41, Blink-182, The Offspring, NOFX, and Reel Big Fish as having a major influence when it came to writing songs.
The cover art is a direct parody of the Sex Pistols' debut album "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols."
